IELTS Intermediate
I1 teaches you to work the way examiners mark, so you can move from IELTS 5.0–5.5 towards 6.0–6.5 over two courses.
- Level
- 5.0–5.5 → 6.0–6.5
- Schedule
- Tuesdays & Fridays, 19:00–21:00
- Dates
- 10 Nov 2026 – 16 Feb 2027
- Fee
- 3,600,000 VND
Who it is for
- You are 15 or older (14 with your parent's and teacher's agreement) and your placement result is about IELTS 5.0–5.5.
- You know the test format, but your score has stopped rising: paraphrase traps, Part 3 answers and harder Task 2 questions cost you marks.
- You want to learn to check and improve your own work, so you can keep going after the course.
By the end of I1 you can
| Skill | You can… |
|---|---|
| Listening | Handle Parts 3–4 (academic discussions and lectures) and spot paraphrase traps |
| Reading | Answer every question type, including matching headings and summaries without a word bank, within 60 minutes |
| Writing | Write every Task 1 type with a clear overview, and four Task 2 types with one consistent position |
| Speaking | Give long Part 3 answers: opinion, reason, example, contrast |
| Self-editing | Use error codes to correct your own work before you hand it in |
Target: about 5.5–6.0 in the final mock.

How your progress is measured
- Mocks in weeks 1, 6 and 12, in the computer-delivered format and timing of the real test.
- Writing and Speaking marked on the four public IELTS criteria; one in five scripts is double-marked.
- A one-page report after weeks 6 and 12; in week 12 you compare your first and last Speaking recordings.
Next step: You move up to I2 (Intermediate 2, Course 2) when your final mock reaches 5.5. If not, you repeat I1 with a new set of tests. In I2, you book the real test only after two mocks in a row reach your target.
