Frequently asked questions

Who teaches the classes?

Nam (Đặng Phương Nam), the founder of iGreener, teaches every session live on Zoom from the Gold Coast, Australia.

What do I need?

A laptop or desktop computer, headphones with a microphone, stable internet, the free Zoom app and a Google account. Classes run on iGreener's paid Zoom account, so a 2-hour session is never cut off. IELTS learners need a keyboard, because the IELTS test in Vietnam is taken on a computer.

How does the placement test work?

You take it online in one sitting: about 70 minutes for IELTS and about 25 minutes for Real-World English. It ends with a short speaking recording that you make on your phone and upload in the form, so you need to sign in with a Google account. You get your result by email within 48 hours.

How much time does it take outside class?

It depends on your schedule. Before class, you watch the session's videos in Google Classroom; after class, you do your homework and add your own self-study time. A little every day works better than one long session.

Will I reach my target band after this course?

We do not promise a band after one course. Goals are set for two courses, and you see your real progress at weeks 1, 6 and 12.

What happens on public holidays and breaks?

There is no class on Vietnamese public holidays or on iGreener breaks (Christmas Day and New Year's Eve). The session moves to the next class day, so you always get all 24 sessions. The calendar page shows every date.

What if I miss a session?

Watch the class recording and complete the homework in Google Classroom. Recordings are shared only with your class.

What if I am in the wrong class?

After the week-1 check-point, your teacher can move you to a better-fitting class if it has a free seat.

How do parents follow progress?

For learners under 18, parents get a short weekly summary on Zalo, a report after weeks 6 and 12, and an invitation to the end-of-course showcase (Real-World English).
